My father had a saying for these sorts of situations. He would say:"How does it feel to want?" Yes, it is true, all except for the final sentence (which was true then but not lately). But if I told you where it was, it would no longer be true.
I'm not sure he'd admire that determination, given its object. I mean the poetry.Determination is not a virtue in and of itself. It heavily depends. What one is determined upon makes a deal o' difference.
