Want to know the real reason Science and Religion don't get along? They used to go out.
No really, I'm serious! They used to go out, it was really heavy and intense for the longest time! They kept it on the down low, but my friend Faith gave me the whole scoop. She was there, in fact, Religion came crying on her shoulder every time there was a tiff to bitch over or a juicy tidbit to dissect, giggling.
In retrospect, it wasn't the best match. Science always with something to prove, questioning and testing every little thing, no matter how trivial. Religion always saying "you can't do that!" or "You have to do this!"
Apparently, Science was also really into, you know, certain things. Procedures. In the bedroom - you know. Very experimental, if you take my meaning. Religion went along with it a few times just to get along, but did not enjoy it AT ALL, and between you and me pretty much considered the whole thing to be an abomination. Those sorts of differences can cause tension in a relationship!
It's a miracle they lasted as long as they did.
