But Is the Reverse Also True?

Frank Sinatra is the Bob Dylan of not writing songs.

But boy an he sing them.

It's not really just him either, that's kind of just how it was back in those days. So many artists recycled songs.

Mermaid, you have such a gorgeous picture! :) Lovely. Maybe I'm biased. I do love mermaids.

I find myself looking at this multifaceted linkage as more than just Frank singing all someone else's songs---it's also about just how many freakin' songs Bob Dylan wrote. And your point neatly displays the vocal disparity too!

Imagine if Bob Dylan had tried to sing only other people's songs! :P :D

I'm not a huge fan of Sinatra, but he'd be at least two universes ahead of Dylan if they were up against each other in a standards-only match.

Hi Mermaid! Indeed he do. I did get a CD of some of his early stuff last year - I keep meaning to get a little deeper into him. I always thought he was a good actor!

LOL Blue, I was like - what? "Standards"? I forgot for a sec that all those old evergreen crooner tunes were collectively known as "standards," and I thought you were trying to say Frank just had...way higher standards. As a person or something.

It blew that part of my mind.
