What if there were only THREE alternate universes??? Three only, and not an infinite number. How would they pick the best three? Would criteria be a factor? Or would it be, "each of you universes, pick an infinite number between 1 and 3 out of this hat." Imagine being a universe, forced to live or die by the cruel pick of some chance slip of the hat!
Science can't say how that would turn out, one way or the other.
But I think that ultimately, perhaps a more interesting and scientific question would be: "maybe it already is that way?" Because when you get right down to it: we don't know. Do we?
Now there's a mind-blower.

Your mind is a dangerous place.
That's true! Luckily, I've become immune.
