We're conditioned to think that there's a force inside the emptiness that sucks the outside matter in, but it isn't so. Not at all. There's no force or power in a vacuum. Quite the opposite! The force comes from presence, not absence. The pressure of mass and matter present. Stable, if there's nowhere for it to go! Stable, until a hole opens up.
It's not so much that nothing sucks; it's that everything else blows.
