From Now On, I'm Just Going To Say Fing

From now on, I am just going to say "fing." No apostrophe! I took the apostrophe out. No "f'ing." Not "effing." "Fing." Like, rhymes with "Ling" or "Jing"?

No more fing around. I'm just going to come out and say it!

"This is fing ridiculous."

"You fing asshole!"

Actually that second one might need a tweak.

I wish I'd come up with "fing". That's a great word. It's the fing weekend, fool!

HAPPY FING FRIDAY!!

Yeah, VA, this is another one of those things that's too simple for me to be the first one to hit on it. But you know what? I don't fing care! I came up with it independently, and I'm proud of myself.

Feel free to spread it around! :-D

Works for me!

Perfect fing companion to Shyeah!

Are you really saying it like "fing" (as in "finger" minus the "er")? Because that just sort of sounds like a regional English (British) accent's pronunciation of "thing." Which I guess wouldn't be a problem in person (since one would hear you weren't saying anything else in the regional accent), but here I had no idea what you were talking about at first. Possibly because I am not a person who has ever said "effing" or one of its substitutes. I do say "dang," though. But I say damn as well.

@Mel - I've been known to use "Shyeah." And I agree about the combination of the two! FING SHYEAH!!

@Blue - Yes, exactly! It would rhyme with ring or king.

The problem with "effing" is that it's too obvious what's going on there! I prefer something a little less obvious. For one thing, some people make as if to be just as affronted by "effing" - on the grounds that it's the thought that counts maybe?

But I just like the sound, and the stealth aspect. If anyone gets confused I can just tell 'em, "it's effing without the fucking apostrophe!"

Or words to that effect.

I love fing!
