So Finally I Did the Most Obvious Thing Ever

So I was thinking "midnight snack" - and then it hit me:

STEP 1.

Bread

STEP 2.

Butter

STEP 3!

Bread N Butter
Aw yeah.

And you know what Step 4 is.

The PERFECT midnight snack...brilliant! And I love the photos...brings it all alive. Great now I am craving one at 6:19 in the morning.

Is Step 4 getting a camera with auto-focus? My allergy-swollen eyeballs are having a hard enough time, I thought the pickle jar was going to send me over the edge.

And now I'm going to go pull pickles out of the fridge, for breakfast. Thanks.

@both of you! I love it! I'm the agent of early-morning pickle cravings.

@Elliott - just pretend you have bad eyes. And then, when you're done looking at the pictures and you go to look at something else: "It's a miracle! I'm cured!"

@Alice - to be fully and completely forthcoming, I'm not sure I can endorse the snack 100% yet. I need to try it a few more times, so I can tweak the butter:pickle slice ratio.

No, no, no! The perfect late night snack is those Bicks SWEET pickle things. 'YumYums' they're called up here (and possibly down there too) and they're like pickle narcotics. Narco-pickles!

They're like crack.

But on a sandwich? Maybe not. Isn't there supposed to be some filling WITH your pickle? Isn't the pickle a condiment? Am I just being really narrow minded here?

I ate a sandwich that featured only McDonald's french fries and mayo the other night, maybe I shouldn't be challenging ANYONE'S sandwich ideas...

Well, in this case, BUTTER is the condiment.

I mean, I figure, these are "bread n' butter pickles." They need to stand up to that stark test. Right? RIGHT?

Bicks, huh? I need to check that out! New brand on me.

I love pickles. I'ma pickle FREAK. Used to be I only cared for dill, I didn't like the sweet - but now I eat all varieties with relish!

(I don't know what's worse - that pun, or the fact that it's not the first time I've used it)

When I checked, I have the same brand of bread and butter pickles.

A few weeks ago at the grocery store, I saw they have individual pickle cups, probably 15 or so sweet miniatures in a pudding cup so you can take them to work or wherever. I haven't tried getting one past airport security yet, though.

Careful there man! It's a short slide down the slippery slope from pickles in a pudding cup to pickle pudding.

Mmmmmn. Get me a damn plastic spoon.
