With all of the technological leaps in the past 30 years, why haven't they come up with an Etch-A-Sketch that lets you lift the needle from the drawing surface? So that you could have a broken line once in a while, without attempting the dreaded "controlled shake"?

Better yet: why can't I indent paragraphs on my blog?
From what I can tell, people who write computer code are trying to get rid of the paragraph 1st-line indent. They don't want it to be an option.
In practice, though man - all you need is a space. For typed content, that sets off the paragraph admirably. Indenting is a far more necessary tool in handwritten content.
