Right on, right on!

Purpose be fucked.

Manifesto In Full

We here at Consider Your Ass Kicked! refute categorically the need to have any raison d'être whatsover at all.

We reject all notions of having an overarching aim and/or goal for The Blog. Independent stand-alone posts may or may not have aims and/or goals. Whatevs.

We scoff at the suggestion that there needs to be a meaning behind it all.

We repudiate the suggestion that there has to be a plan.

We spit on any suggestion that there must be a point.

We do not believe in the need for a common and/or consistent vein in The Blog’s theme/message/vibe/genre/ idea/moral, and/or philosophy. It’s called shaking it up. Readers dig it.

There will be no answer to the question, “yeah, but, what’s it all about?

In summary: fuck purpose.

Wait, even this manifesto sounds suspiciously like it has a purpose.

Damn.

Mel,

Wow. What can I say?

Mel, I don't know who precisely it was who authorized, deputized and otherwise empowered you to go around writing Manifestos In Full on behalf of We Here At Consider Your Ass Kicked!, but it is with great personal satisfaction that I announce that We Here At Consider Your Ass Kicked! hereby retroactively support, endorse, and otherwise ratify said mandate.

I'd like to convey a message from my good friend Purpose, here:

"I'd like to say that I am hurt and dismayed at your lack of respect for me and my work. I spend 99.9% of my time providing inspiration and motivation for humankind in order to give it a modicum of satisfaction and all I get is 'Fuck Purpose'. Well.... Screw you guys, I'm going home."

Wow, he's a little grumpy today.

I am going over here to cry now, thank you.

There, there, Purpose! Fuck's not necessarily a bad thing.

VA, you do recall my mind to those halcyon days of the High Romantic Age, when Virtue was idealized and personified by many names...
