May sleep gather you in
with the softest embrace
and forgetfulness
wash all the cares from your face
as the dreams of the night
take you where you most wish
to be held by the light
and caressed with a kiss.
May the love of your life
beat more strong in your breast
than a pessimist army could hope to contest
and when night quits the field,
and the birds sound their call
may you wake to a dream,
and your life conquer all.

Quite happy with that one, really. It's from a bit back. A bit of a classic.
The young lady I originally wrote it for, she sleeps pretty well I understand!
Goodnight, dear.
Bee-you-T-ful!!

Thank you! And good morning.
Did you post this poem in the wrong blog again? lol!

(It's lovely no matter where you put it!)
Oh no, this one is an older one! A couple years old at least. It's on the poetry blog already, someplace.
The ones I post here are sometimes just a slip, but more often I am highlighting a brand new one I particularly like, or shining a spot on an older one I love.
Well I am a fan of your work 4 shore!
