That was the most rambling and repetitive piece of music criticism I've seen from me in years. I'm going to put just an apology here, and the content in a belated Pt.2 once it's presentable.
Aha! Sorry, Mel. You must have snuck that in on the original version. OK, when I post the edit I'll put it right up in its original place!
For historical context, folks, I posted this huge thing that said the same three things 3 times each, then on the re-read I was so appalled that I had to pull it down and in its place state:

- That edit is still pending, but when it comes I'll put it here, and I will note right now that Mel's above endorsement cannot be construed to apply with force to the forthcoming heavily-revised version.
Having said that - Mel. I have to agree with you 100%. Everything I said was dead on. I just realized maybe it was so dead on it didn't need to be said so many times!
Mel, I'm sorry to keep you hanging, here. That post was too big a beast to tame! I've split it up in three: one post to do with comparison of two pieces on intrinsic merit, discarding aspects irrelevant to the actual "text" of the work itself; a second post to do with process of creation (unfinished); and thirdly, a shitload of redundant, rambling paragraphs that didn't really fit in either of the first two posts.

I just published the first one.
