None more random!!
It had come time once again for me to update my sidebar feature "TOP 9 OF ALL TIME (CHOSEN AT RANDOM)" - when suddenly I realized my spanking-new "Feeling Lucky?" random post feature could, for the first time, make the Top 9 of All Time truly random!
And I did! I just clicked it the requisite number of times, and ensconced exactly those posts that came up as my new Top 9, with awesomely mixed results!
I may do it this way every time, or I may revert to the old way. Who can say? Either way, it's definitely a new development.
I should note, while the TOP 9 OF ALL TIME (CHOSEN AT RANDOM) has only now made the technology-assisted leap to true randomnity, I did do my best in the past to make it as random as I could, without sacrificing the appearance of randomness. Oddly enough, sometimes coincidence itself can introduce a seeming pattern. Without the firm crutch of tech-assisted true randomness, it can be hard to have the confidence to leave that seeming pattern in. People will assume you chose it.
I should further note, the TOP 9 OF ALL TIME (CHOSEN AT RANDOM) pretty much always contains 11 posts, and no plans are afoot to change that proud tradition of excess.
