A Pernicious Problem

With the global collapse of social mores, it is incumbent upon those of us who use big, fancy words to set the tone in the debate of how or whether and on what basis we can frame the question of right versus wrong.

The tone we set should be a civil one, but one that brooks no silliness. This is after all a serious matter! What could be more important or basic than right versus wrong? If no basis can be established other than such slippery slopes as the greater good, then we can all look forward to a future of slippy-sliding straight over the precipice, with the rest of our lemming-like ilk!

For goodness sake! If the greater good jumped off the Golden Gate Bridge, would you do it? Of course not! Don't be silly.
