Apparently Every Rose Does Not Have Its Thorn

A thorn is apparently a modified branch, whereas a rose plant has what are called (insultingly enough) "prickles" - which are modified epidermal tissues. Hence, they snap right off - a true thorn is hardier.

I know, I know. Everybody else already knew this! Sue me, I was too credulous a Poison fan.

Now what rhymes with "prickle," that could potentially rescue that song.
