This post is a hoax. I defend it on the grounds of the entire honorable tradition of hoaxes in publishing, radio and literature, from the infamous ... to the ..., all the way up through ... and ..., and continuing into the modern global media age where hoaxes are flourishing as never before (cf ..., ..., and ...).
But shit, if I can't even be bothered to dig up a few good citations - a snap to find and cite in the digital age! - but if I can't even be bothered to do that, how am I going to bother actually coming up with a hoax worthy enough and proud enough to stand proud and worthy in the august company of that proud-enough tradition?

I was always so absolutely shit at hoaxes. I don't know what's wrong with me, I don't know what the attraction is. I don't know why I keep trying.
